Advantage Iodine-125™
Advantage I-125™ is manufactured by IsoAid, LLC and utilizes a long-standing and proven seed design. The source is listed in the joint American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) / Radiological Physics Center (RPC) Registry of Brachytherapy Sources Meeting AAPM Dosimetric Prerequisites and is in the VariSeed™ source library as model IAI-125A.
There are no batch assays and no set apparent activity levels or air kerma strengths. Seeds are
calibrated for the date of implant at a user defined apparent activity level or air kerma strength.
The 0.5 by 3.0 mm silver marker is one of the largest in the industry and allows for superior
fluoroscopic visualization.
TheraSeed® Palladium-103
TheraSeed® Pd-103 is manufactured by Theragenics® Corporation and is the most widely used Pd-103 source in brachytherapy. The source is listed in the joint American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) / Radiological Physics Center (RPC) Registry of Brachytherapy Sources Meeting AAPM Dosimetric Prerequisites and is in the VariSeed™ source library as Pd-103 Model 200.
Proxcelan™ Cesium-131
Proxcelan™ Cs-131 is manufactured by IsoRay Medical® and is the only Cs-131 source in brachytherapy. The source is listed in the joint American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) / Radiological Physics Center (RPC) Registry of Brachytherapy Sources Meeting AAPM Dosimetric Prerequisites and is in the VariSeed™ source library as model Cs-1.
