A Revolutionary Advancement for Real-Time Low Dose Rate Brachytherapy
AnchorSeed® is the only technologically advanced product for use with the Mick® Applicator, consisting of existing loose low dose rate brachytherapy sources encapsulated in the same synthetic bioabsorbable polymer used in BrachySciences’ portfolio of strand products. Each AnchorSeed® is surrounded by four rings: one covering each end cap, and two smaller medial rings. The rings are connected by two longitudinal ribs that run opposite each other along the length of the lateral surface.
AnchorSeed is designed to improve seed fixity and reduce misalignment, migration, and seed displacement. This allows seeds to better maintain their position within tissue, providing the benefits of a stranded seed while maintaining the flexibility offered in using the Mick Applicator. AnchorSeed is delivered sterile in a custom Mick® Magazine designed exclusively for use with AnchorSeed. AnchorSeed Kits include a choice of 17 or 18 gauge Applicator Technique needles in separate, sterile pouches.
AnchorSeed® has been designed to improve seed fixity and reduce:
